Department of Economics

The Department started functioning in 1964 and was elevated to the status of a Post Graduate Department in 1995. Being an outstanding department in the Kannur University, our faculties are open to frank assessment of their skills and consider investing them in participating in and taking up academic enriching activities like teaching, research, paper presentations, publications and also participating actively in academic bodies of Universities. The students both UG and PG have been bringing laurels to the department every year through ranks and distinctions in University examinations. The Department is also proud of it Alumni who have passed UGC NET/JRF,SET etc and placed as teaching faculties and research scholars in reputed institutions in state and even outside.
