Department of Physical Education

The department of physical Education started functioning on 1964. The college, over since the commencement of the department paid much attention in the systematic development of the physical potential of the students in various facets like athletics, games, body building etc. We are proud of the smashing achievements harvested by the college as the creator of many University, state records. The runner-up team in the Calicut University Athletic meets, the overall Champions Team of the Kannur University Athletic meet and National winners in Power lifting items are some of them.

• 1993 – Calicut University Athletic Meet; College team became the runners – up
• New University record in Hammer throw – sri. Joseph Chacko
• Sri. Royees James won the Gold Medal in triple jump in Kerala State amature athletic meet and Bronze medal in the All India university athletic meet at Punjab in 1992
• Sri. Rony K Cheriyan – Gold medel in Deccathalon in Kerala State Ameture meet in 1993
• Domic K.A. – Individual champion, Calicut University Athletic meet 1994.
• Sri Rajesh M. Joseph – Gold Medal in Javelin Throw, Kerala state met in 1994 and 1995
• Sri. Arun O.K. New state record in putting the short – 1995
• Sri. Lijo Chemparathy – Represented Calicut Uty. 1995. in National Uty. meet – Silver medel Women foot ball Team – Calicut Uty. winners for consecutive 3 years.(1987 – 89)
