Library Rules

  • All the staff and students of Nirmalagiri College are members of the College Library.Library Orientation Programme is compulsory for all.
  • The College Library shall remain open from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm to 10.30 pm on all working days.
  • All library users must wear their College Identity Tag inside the library.
  • All personal belongings of the users must be kept at the property counter at the entrance of the library. Users are allowed to carry only one notebook to the library.
  • Perfect silence should be maintained inside the library.
  • Mobile phones, cameras etc. are strictly prohibited inside the library.
  • Circulation service (Issue and Return of Books) is available to all users on all working days from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. The number of books issued to different categories of users is as follows:
  • UG Students 03 Books
    PG Students 05 Books
    Teachers 10 Books
    Non-Teaching Staff 03 Books
  • Books are issued for a period of 14 days for all users. Failure to return a book on or before the due date entails the users to pay a fine of One Rupee per day of delay for each book. Absence in the college will not be an excuse for delay in returning the book.
  • Books can be renewed for a further period of seven days if no one else has reserved the same book. The user is required to physically present the book on or before the due date for renewal.
  • Every borrower is responsible for the safe custody and return of the books borrowed by him/her. Sub-lending or transferring books to another person’s name is not allowed. In the event of damage or loss, he/she shall replace the book or pay the cost of the book       along with a fine.
  • Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library resources in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he/she will be charged the full replacement cost of the resource.
  • The librarian has the right to ask any user to return any book even before the due date.
