The department of economics was started in 1964 with the Pre-Degree course in Social Sciences; the Degree Course in 1967 and the post graduate Course in 1995. The Department provides the platform for the students to sharpen their knowledge and skills. It conducts periodically, seminars, discussions, workshops, etc. on academic and non academic topics.
